An average of 50 people A DAY are moving to Southwest Florida, specifically Cape Coral. Cape Coral is ranked in the TOP 5 cities to relocate to in the United States. Great weather, amazing beaches, outstanding schools - who can beat a great area to retire and raise a family. We might not know exactly what is going to happen to the housing market this year -- if things will slow down or remain steady. But according to expert real estate professionals from around the United States, these high prices are not going away, and not anytime soon. In fact, a lot of products and services are increasing. Chicken wings, gas, building supplies, hotels, flights, and even permits are just taking longer than normal or low in stock, which drives up the prices. We just ordered pavers for our lanai - 16 weeks to receive the product and then another 3-4 weeks to schedule installation! If you are thinking about selling but are on the fence, it's not a bad idea to get an esimate of how much your house will sell for.


According to Florida Realtor Association, the average price of a single-family home in Southwest Florida in April 2021 was $355,000. That's a HUGE increase from last year at $285,000. In May 2021, the average price is $365,000 and it's only going up from there. $10,000 increase in just ONE month! Who knows what the summer will bring. But what I do know is if you are contemplating selling your home, downsizing, or taking the money to travel the world, now is the time.
